Aspects of Yoshitoshi
Yoshitoshi, Watanabe no Tsuna and the Demon of the Rashomon Gate
A thousand years ago, the great samurai Watanabe no Tsuna learned of a demon lurking in the rafters of the Rashomon Gate in Kyoto. In the driving rain, Watanabe entered the gate on horseback, dismounted, then proceeded to wait. After hours of waiting, he began to fall asleep, when he felt something seize his helmet from above. Ww\atanabe instantly awoke, and slashed at the demon, cutting off one of its arms. The monster instantly fled, and Watanabe then placed the severed limb in a box. Local Shinto priests later performed rituals over the box to imprison whatever evil remained in the arm.
